All Kittens raised indoors with love and care
My love affair with the devon rex began in December 2005. I went to see a litter of devon rex kittens in Cambooya and fell in love with a kitten called Twilight. At the time, I was not even thinking of breeding and had wanted to buy a kitten that I could show. Rodney, my partner was reluctant at the time because he thought we were spending too much money on a cat. Little would he know we would spend ten times more on the sphynx. He thought that Twilight was strange looking, with his pixie face and large ears but I thought there could not be anything more beautiful. After much pleading and cajoling with him, we placed a deposit on Twilight. It seemed the longest two weeks of my life before we could pick him up.
I was so excited the day we picked Twilight up. I was already planning all the shows I would take him to. We started showing but he didn't do as well as we had hoped to. If we were fortunate, we would place in the top ten but this hardly happened. Twilight was so beautiful and cute, he used to sleep in his litter tray the first few nights until I took him to bed and he would sleep near my cheek. On my birthday, the 29th of March, because we were concerned about how Twilight did in the shows, we took her to a All-Breed Cat Judge that lived near us. To my surprise, I found out that my dear Twilight was a girl. That could be the reason why she didn't do well at the shows. We contacted the breeder who was only to happy to change the paperwork. I decided then and there that Twilight, my beautiful seal point girl would be the foundation of my breeding. Twilight is now 11 years old and lives happily with us, I still absolutely adore the old dear.
